TEEN ROAD TEST

In order to be eligible for a teen road test or driving test in Texas:

  • You must be 16 or 17 to take the teen road test.
  • You must have held your learner’s permit for at least 6 months to take the teen road test.
  • You must have finished the 32-hour course.
  • You must have finished your behind-the-wheel driving requirements.
  • All documents must be provided to the school on the day of the road test.
  • The road test fee is non-refundable.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled road test time.

ADULT ROAD TEST

In order to be eligible for an adult drivers road testing in Texas:

  • You must be 18 or older to take the adult road test.
  • If under age of 25, you must have finished the 6-hour course.
  • All documents must be provided to the school on the day of the road test.
  • The road test fee is non-refundable.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled road test time.

TEEN ROAD TESTING PREP PACKAGES

If you are a parent-taught driver and are almost ready for the road test, but need just a couple of more lessons from an expert to improve on last couple of things like reversing, parallel parking, or defensive driving then this package is for you.   (Note: DPS road test at driving school is included in the package)

 Choose as many 1-hour driving lessons as you as you wish:

  • One 1-hr Driving Lesson and DPS Road Test | $169
  • Two 1-hr Driving Lessons and DPS Road Test | $229
  • Three 1-hr Driving Lessons and DPS Road Test | $279

WHAT DO TEENS NEED TO BRING TO THE ROAD TESTs?

Teens between ages of 16-17 must bring the following documentation with them for the road testing:

  • Learner’s Permit
  • Driver Ed Certificate (DE-964) showing completion of 32-hour course.
  • Impact Texas Teen Driver (ITTD) Certificate
  • BTW Instructor 30-hour Log

If parent taught course, then you must also bring the following additional documents for us to review:

  • Classroom Instruction log (form DL-91A)
  • In-Car Observation & Behind-the-Wheel Instruction Log

After passing the DPS test, you will be given a sealed envelope to take to the Texas Department of Safety (DPS) to obtain your driver’s license. DO NOT open the envelope as DPS will not accept an open envelop.

WHAT DO ADULTS NEED TO BRING TO THE ROAD TEST?

If you had opted for Parent Taught Driver Education (PTDE), then you must also bring the following:

Your observation and 14 hour log
